These hot water systems come with an innovative, no water on the roof and silent operational design. The cylinder has an OTC over-temperature control that avoids overheating to keep its long life. The water temperature within the tank is accurately controlled by turning off or redirecting the PV DC power once the tank has reached the required temperature, eliminating overheating of system components. The PV direct controller also offers DIY visual checks on the cylinder temperature and solar energy generated per day and in total. Unlike heat pumps and thermal pumped systems, a PV direct system has silent operation with no noisy moving parts, and it is an excellent option in off-grid and rural areas. Designed to provide economical service from medium to high solar gain areas and suitable for a family size of 2 to 5.
