The intermittent phase is worth acting on
Aerosharp units rarely die without warning. Most trip intermittently for weeks or months first, and most owners reset them and carry on. That period is the cheapest time to act, for a reason specific to Perth. Realistically no. There is no manufacturer, no parts channel and no technical support. We test to confirm the inverter is genuinely the fault rather than the array, then quote a replacement.
Is there any warranty left?
No. The company no longer trades. If your original installer is still in business they may retain an obligation, but most systems of this era were installed by companies that have since closed.
How long should an inverter last?
A decent modern inverter should give you well over a decade, and many manufacturers now back that with a ten-year term. Aerosharp units frequently did not reach that, which is why so many are being replaced now.
Will replacing the inverter improve my output?
Usually yes, modestly, because a failing inverter often derates for a long time before it stops. The bigger gain is simply having a system that works and is supported.
